THE BRIAR DRESS

Named for the wild rose that grows quietly along English hedgerows -- beautiful without trying, stronger than it looks -- the Briar is the dress you reach for when you want to feel entirely yourself.

Long sleeved, floor grazing, with a V-neckline framed by a soft gathered ruffle and cuffs that gather at the wrist with a delicate fixed cord tie. A hem finished in two tiers of ruffles with chain-stitch embroidery in  buttery pastel yellow thread. It is unhurried dressing at its most considered.

Cut from 100% double layer cotton gauze in cream - weightless, breathable, and made to be worn in every season. We chose cotton gauze because it is a fabric that responds to being loved rather than fighting it. Growing softer with washing, more familiar with time.

Each hem and cuff is finished with chain-stitch embroidery in pastel yellow thread, worked by artisans in Jaipur, India, where this craft has been practised for centuries. A small act of slowness in a world that wants everything faster.

This is not a dress made for one occasion. It is made to be kept.
