Sustainability & Our Values

We are a small, Melbourne-based label making floaty, easy pieces designed to be worn, loved and kept. We believe clothing should feel good to wear and good to buy, and we try to make every decision in our business with care for the people who wear our pieces and the planet we share.

Our values

• Made to last. We design relaxed, timeless pieces that move with you through the seasons, rather than chasing trends.
• Minimal waste. We keep waste to a minimum in everything we do, from how our pieces are made to how your order is packed.
• Comfort for every body. Our oversized fits are designed to feel easy and unrestrictive, and we are working on extending our size range so more people can wear our pieces.
• Honesty. We share what we are doing well and what we are still working on, and we are always happy to answer your questions.
• Small and personal. As a small business, every order matters to us. When you email us, you hear from a real person on our team.

Sustainability in practice

Considered fabrics

We choose our fabrics with care, favouring natural fibres such as linen and cotton that are comfortable to wear and made to last. Fabric details for every piece are listed in its product description.

Thoughtful production

Our garments are made in small runs which helps us avoid overproduction and excess stock.

Minimal waste and like-minded partners

We aim to keep waste to a minimum at every step. We also partner with like-minded brands who share our values, bringing their pieces together in our Petite Luxuries edit, a curated collection of small treasures made with the same care we put into our own.

Packaging

We want it to feel special when you open your Clouds & Claude order, while staying mindful of our impact on Mother Earth. That's why our tissue wrap and tags come from noissue, a sustainable packaging company whose tissue is made from FSC-certified paper and printed with soy-based inks, so it can be recycled or composted at home. We encourage you to reuse, recycle or compost your packaging wherever you can.

Caring for your pieces

The most sustainable garment is one you keep wearing. Washing cold, line drying and following the care instructions in each product description will help your pieces last for years.

Where we're heading

We know we are not perfect, and sustainability is a journey rather than a finish line. As we grow, we are committed to extending our size range, continuing to improve our materials and packaging, and sharing our progress with you along the way.
